Lambton Cokeworks

TSA formed part of Yuills competition to develop this former Lambton Cokework site and adopt the philosophy of sustainable development provided by English Partnerships.
The site comprised of land currently unoccupied, which was previously used as a coke works. The site has been unoccupied since the 1980’s but has a long industrial past dating back to the late 17th century. Remediation works were completed in 2009 that addressed the contamination issues.
The development included n integrated road system providing possible future bus routes through the site, enabling access to the proposed family orientated public house and public amenities which will be available to the already existing local community and residents of the new development.
