The design concept was partially dictated by the tight site constraints and statutory services restrictions. At the same time we wished to maximize the provision of natural daylight and adopt passive ventilation principles as well as minimising circulation.
The site restrictions dictated an ‘L’ shaped building footprint and as the hall, entrance “core” is central to the school
By positioning the footpath adjacent to the Church, pedestrians will access the school grounds, the playground, the school and the Nursery without having to cross the vehicular access.
